Whirlwind.

Well hello.

Life has been a whirlwind the past several months and my blogging game has been nonexistent OBVIOUSLY.

Let's start with the first major event that's happened in the last two months, shall we? On August 14th, I got a promotion! I'm now a Customer Service Specialist at Landmark Properties and so far I'm really enjoying it! It helps that I have quite possibly the best boss ever, who also happens to be my roommate, but whatever. I texted Emily on a Wednesday and asked about the open position and she basically asked what took me so long to inquire about it! I signed my offer letter that Friday, and made the move from Construction to Properties! It's been crazy around here with our lower than standard Baton Rouge project, but it's thankfully settled down now. The calls and emails for customer service have slacked up majorly and I'm able to do some training and learn how this thing works on the Properties side. I'm thankful for the opportunity to move up so quickly and learn more about the property management side of things!

For this next bit of news, you might need to put down any beverages you might be sipping. On September 1st, my best friend, Jessica who just got married on July 25th, had a baby. A month after getting married she had a sweet baby boy, and bless her heart, she didn't even know she was pregnant.

YES. You read that correctly. SHE DIDN'T KNOW SHE WAS PREGNANT. She went an entire 38 weeks of pregnancy and had zero clue that she was pregnant. Looking back now, we realize that's probably why she couldn't fit into her wedding dress. In hindsight, we probably shouldn't have made her go a crash diet for 3 weeks before the wedding, but hey, we didn't know! Noah David and Mommy are both healthy, and that's all that matters. She's adjusting nicely, and thankfully, her family and closest friends all rallied together to make sure she had all the necessities.
She doesn't know it, but I think I'm giving her an application to that "I Didn't Know I was Pregnant" show on TLC for Christmas. She might as well make some money, right?!

I think I'll save the rest of the fun life happenings for another blog. Hopefully, that will make me write again sooner rather than later!

Happy Hump Day!
