on friday night of last week( i know i'm real behind), mama, daddy, alicia and i went to the imperial theater in downtown AUG to see Dailey and Vincent, a bluegrass group! yes, i love bluegrass music...well good bluegrass anyway! (don't judge)

Jamie Dailey and Darrin Vincent are the main guys of the group. Jamie is from Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver and Darrin is from Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder (both groups i LOVE). they also have a few other great guys with them as well, such as Jesse Stockman on the fiddle (who played with the Issacs!), Joe Dean on the banjo (who played with Barry friggin Scott!!! thank you jesus for that man!) Jeff Parker on the mandolin, and then, saving the best for last...Mr. Christian Davis! hallelujah! i'm pretty sure that God high-fived himself when he gave that man his singing voice!!! gotta love an amazing bass! (he sang with several southern gosple groups before moving to bluegrass, such as Old Time Gospel Hour Quartet) too bad that man is already married, because i would have married him last friday night! whoo, that man can sang!!! lol
(i'll stop now. but seriously, he's great!)
then on sunday night, i went to The Sanctuary with Tiff, Tim, Aunt Jenn, Matt, Anna, Meg, Aunt Kathie, Eddie Bo, and Jenna bug to hear Charlotte Ritchie and Gordon Mote. that was great as well!! they both are so talented! always love some great southern gosple, too!!!
I can't wait for next thursday, if i can get some tickets, i'll be going to the Ernie Haase and Signature Sound concert!!! i'm pretty excited about that one too! they are my favorite! plus, i haven't heard them with Devin McGlamery, their new lead singer yet so that will be awesome! (he sang with Karen Peck and New River!)
i'm hoping to get tickets, just haven't got them yet!
