There's no better time than the present, right? So, today I'm jumping on the Throwback Thursday bandwagon and linking up with the fabulous Bonnie! Her blog is one of my favorites, and I think she is just the cutest thing! If you don't read her blog, you should start!
Today's topic is First Kisses! How fun!
My first kiss wasn't middle school, or high school, or even college. It was in 4-year-old preschool. That's right, preschool. I mean, who wouldn't want to kiss 4 year old me? I had a jumper and white socks with ruffles! Wasn't I the cutest?!

Don't even start judging this picture. I know you all had a 90's paint splatter picture, too! |
My kiss was a boy named Franklin and we were in Miss Vivian's class together. It was time for our end of the program, and while the parents were in the auditorium waiting patiently on us to come out, we were in our classrooms putting last minute touches on our outfits and performance.
Now, I don't have the slightest clue what led up to this kiss, but I remember standing in the hallway with him and probably my best friend at the time, and he kissed me! Like a real kiss!
I started crying! I was so scared I was going to get in trouble! I even asked Miss Vivian, "are we allowed to kiss in preschool?" Oh my word! I was SO completely chawed, as Kelly would say! ha!
After the program, the family went out for dinner at Shoney's. Lucky for me, or unlucky for me, Franklin and his family was there, too! I don't remember if both of our families knew at this point about the kiss or not, but after his family finished eating he walked over to our table to talk to me. He said in the most serious way possible:
"Come on, Audra. It's time to go on our Honeymoon!"
I'm pretty sure I just graduated preschool. I don't remember getting married! HA!
Y'all, that was my family's favorite thing to pick on me about growing up. I mean, I had lots of good preschool stories, like the girl who told me I scribble scrabble when I color, but that has to take the cake!
My Daddy tunes the piano at Franklin's grandparent's church and his grandmother STILL asks about me to this day! That was preschool!!
I don't really remember him in elementary school, then I was homeschooled in 3rd grade, then private school 4th-8th, but I do remember him when I went back to public school for high school. And, we graduated together! Pretty sure I was not a prime memory for him, though! ha!
So, now I want to hear all about your first kiss! Come link up with Bonnie so we can read all about it!
