I once again, didn't take a lick of pictures and my apologies about that one! I always forget to grab my camera when i walk out the door!
Saturday, I slept till 11am..YES 11!!!! it was wonderful! I decided it was time to get up and slowly get ready for the day. I grabbed some lunch then watched football until it was time to go with Alicia to the trade-show.
They have a big room set up with all these different companies you can buy your vending items from. Lots of them give away free things so if there is anything new or different you can try it! *I scored with THREE bags of dill pickle chips! :)*
I got to see David, my Daddy's old supervisor, who happens to think I'm madly in love with him while we were in the trade-show. *only problem is, his WIFE, Linda, wouldn't like that very much! ha!! it's definitely a joke!*
After an afternoon of much more football, and waking the unhappy neighbors from their nap while screaming at the Alabama game, it was time to get ready for the banquet!
This year, for ONCE, the food wasn't half bad. They had green beans, mashed potatos and chicken. Of course the tea was unsweet, the bread tasted like I was having communion and the dessert they say was cheesecake was really coolwhip and a thin layer of regular cake, but other than that, it was decent!
Daddy got an award for being in the program for 10 years, Alicia won $20 in the balloon popping game (to which she bought my lunch with..thanks Lee!), and Wayne won the Trainer award, so it was a good year!!!
Nicki and I have come up with our ensemble for next years banquet. We're going to have paper machete big, poofy hats, big red sunglasses, a jacket with giraffes on it, a skirt made out of our grandmothers curtains, and to top it all over...a scarf...with a collard shirt...tied in a perfect bow. :)
( i'm sure none of you understand that, but if y'all had seen the way some of those ladies/men were dressed at that thing, you would understand! oh, and we're also taking etiquette class so we understand how to use the 3 forks we were given!!!)
I got in trouble multiple times for 'talking about people' with April and Wes, but it's ok...i'm sure it was necessary! I got to hang out with Jeff for a while since he had to bring "the not-so-jolly-green giant" and his dad up. we got some caramel apple milkshakes from the steak-n-shake, and i got up early this morning to have breakfast with the parents.
Even though it went by ENTIRELY TOO fast, and UGA lost, and Bama only won by the skin of their teeth, this weekend was pretty good!!! glad to have gotten to see friends we haven't seen in a while, and just get outta the house. I definitely missed my baby girl though! I'm going to see if she's up from her nap yet, now! :)
have a wonderful, fast week! :)
