late weekend post.

I know, it's terribly sad that it's Wednesday and I'm just finding some time to blog about last weekend!! Two more days, and this weekend will be upon us! ha!

This weekend, unlike my past few, weren't actually very busy!! I worked Friday afternoon/night, and then slept in on Saturday! :)

We had to go to the GCB (georgia counsel for the blind) meeting on Saturday afternoon because momma and daddy were out of town. First, we had to go to the mall for VA to pay her JCP bill. Of course, since we were at the mall, and it was almost lunch time, well you know i just had to have some mall Chinese!!! :) it was soo yummy!!!
After that, we had our meeting, and then since it's right down the road from the SA, VA just had to go! Since you all know my hate for this particular place, the baby, Alicia, and I went to meet Adam to get gas in VA's car, and to get everyone ice cream! (Chinese and ice cream in the same day, what could be better?!)
Then, we went by Maxines to drop Alabama and Alicia off so VA and I could go to Hooters. Every year, a few Mary Kay ladies get together and go to Hooters during the Masters and stand outisde collecting donations to send sunscreen to the troops! Most people walk by without saying anything, they must be ready to get their drink on..but some will stop and give us money. We made $77.50 that night, thanks to the guy who thought we were stealing everyone's money to get drunk!!

On Sunday, Adam, VA, Alabama and I all went with the about 9 others from our Kids Alive group at church to Atlanta. The church we get our skits from, Northpoint Community Church, has a "kids alive program" or as they call it, Kid's Stuf Live once a month, so we went to watch their skit. Of course, the actors are much better, and everything was like WOW, but we didn't feel like it had much substance.   It was more like "look at all the stuff we can do, or all the technology we have" kind of thing instead of the focus being on Jesus.

After the skit, we got a tour of the church. We saw the nursery wing, kids wing, and middle school wing. We also got to see backstage of Kid's Stuf Live which was pretty neat!! They have an AWESOME set! They have an upstairs, revolving doors, trap doors, and a real car sticking out of one wall. It's crazy!
The church was HUGE. Attendace is usually about 10,000 every week!!

After church, and lunch, and Adam fixing the breaks on the van,  we left the group and went to an awesome thrift store, Va found! It's better than Goodwill because you don't have to rummage to find something! They have everything in order!!! :)
Then, we went to ...IKEA!!!!! Oh, my gosh! That place is like awesomeness in a building! I looove it!  I would have came home with the entire store had I had enough space and money!

I did however, purchase a new lamp, which i love!!

It's this one! :) I haven't used my overhead light since my oh so wonderful sister, VA put it up for me! :)

I also got these mirrors..

I'm going to put one long ways like this, because I don't have a full length mirror, and I haven't quite figured out the other yet. :)

You haven't even heard the best of it...the lamp was only $15 and the mirros, together...were only $15 too!!!! :) I was excited to say the least!!!

I had a wonderful weekend, but I sure did miss my church on Sunday morning!!!
