PRO in Procrastination.

Well it wouldn't be natural if I wasn't posting at 4pm on a Tuesday with a little weekend ramblings of sorts. I put the PRO in procrastination.

I also have a new design over here. Whatcha think? I wanted simple, even though I'm far from a Plain Jane, and I just love how it turned out.

Last week was a whirlwind. Tuesday night was spent in the ICU waiting room for my Mom's cousin, Thursday we were back at the hospital for my Granny, Thursday night we took a drive to Greenwood to get my Aunt, and Friday night was the visitation for my Mom's cousin, with work thrown in the mix everyday. I had a total of about 12 hours of sleep from Tuesday to Friday, and exhaustion had long set in by Friday night. I already had planned a trip to Brunswick to see my cousins Jeff and Brooke with Jessica before all this happened, and I wasn't about to cancel.

Jessica had to drive to Thomson Friday night after work, and with Atlanta traffic and road work, she ended up not getting in town until about midnight. Instead of getting up early on Saturday and making the four hour drive, I decided, with little sleep, that we should go ahead and drive down Friday night with energy drinks in tow. I was delirious and Jessica laughed at me most of the way, but by 5am we had finally made it to Brunswick and were ready for a few hours of sleep!

Saturday we got up and went to St. Simon's and had Mexican for lunch. We walked around at the Pier until Jeff and I couldn't take the birds any longer, then visited a few shops before leaving. That night, we had tickets to see the hilarious John Crist at the Jacksonville Comedy Club. There were two comics and he was BY FAR the best. I have no clue why this guy doesn't headline. He's had his television debut for cryin' out loud! Seriously, If he's ever near you, go see him! I promise it's worth it, even if it's just so you can see his hair in person! ;)

We all slept in on Sunday, then after a terrible visit to the 4th of May Cafe, (since it was obviously the 4th of May) we decided to head to Savannah! We walked along River Street, ate at Huey's on the River, bought lots of candy from River Street Sweets to bring home, tasted frozen concoctions at Wet Willie's while Jeff got a drink, and shopped around in the Bee Company. Finally, we climbed back in the car and made our way back to Thomson.

It was a fun weekend, packed full of laughter and food and I surely hated to see it go! So far this week is proving to be calmer and I couldn't be more thankful. Let's hope it continues.

Happy Tuesday!
XoXo,
AK
