Rivalry Saturday

Hey, friends!

I know I haven't finished my Thankful posts yet, but I couldn't not post about Rivalry Saturday.

If you've been around here for very long, or follow me on Twitter or IG, then you know that I'm all about some UGA football. UGA has been, and always will be my number one team.
I was a nervous wreck while we were "wreckin' Tech" on Saturday afternoon. First half of the game was the poorest excuse of a game, I've seen. I wished I saved texts, I'd share the horrible messages between my friend Sae and I. The mild was a threat to egg a coach's house. We're classy. You just wouldn't know it when there's football action on the TV.
In typical UGA fashion, we finally decided to remember where the end zone was and started actually playing during the second half! I was on the edge of my seat (read: actin' a fool) during the entire 4th quarter. Tech played a heck of a game. They came to play, and played with passion during the whole thing! Good thing for us, we came to win! Basically, we STILL run this state!

Now, it's also no surprise that I'm an avid Bama lover, too. I always, always yell Go Dawgs first, but second is a big Roll Tide
Whoever decided that two big rivalry games such as UGA/Tech and Bama/Auburn should be broadcast simultaneously is a complete idiot. I mean that with all the love I can muster, which is none. We kept flipping channels back and forth between the two games during commercial breaks, which obviously means we missed a few plays. It's ok, though. We saw the end result in both. WHICH WAS CRAZY for the Bama game. Who even knew that you could actually catch a missed field goal and run it back for a touchdown? Seriously, that game was the epitome of everything good and holy about SEC football.
ACC people: I can't even.

While I detest Auburn, and I am the biggest sore loser around, I have found some of the signs and such to be hilarious. Even if the joke is on Bama, like the "Roll Tears Roll" signs plastered everywhere. I'll admit, it's a little funny. I specifically found this video I saw earlier today on BooMama's blog to be the BEST reaction possible. I couldn't help but share it myself.

So, even though Bama lost, that game was packed full of SEC goodness. And for that, I can't even be mad.
Who were you rooting for in the Iron Bowl?

Happy Monday!

XoXo,
-AK
