It's Wednesday!! Which is Hump Day, and we ALL know what that means!
*Geico camel lovers unite!*
I haven't watched the commercial once today, be proud people, but I did hear the re-mix on the radio on the way to work this morning. ;)
I'm sure you're probably questioning my ability to write and blog since I'm blogging about last weekend, when it's already Wednesday, but you'll see why!
Sunday, I went with my girl Tyler Amanda to see Les Miserables at the Imperial Theater here in Augusta. The talent in the group of Augusta Players is real, y'all. The performance was superb! I cried, laughed, got chills, and it had me on the edge of my seat! (that may or may not had something to do with the abnormally tall person in front of me) The wife of a co-worker of mine was in it, so it was fun to see her on stage dancing and singing!
I'm an avid musical lover and I'm the girl everyone hates that sings along to every.single.song. Of course, Les Mis was no different. Even days after, I was am still singing songs from it!
When it comes to music, I think I have a serious problem. I will wear the heck out of a song. I never can get enough of it, so I play it over and over, until I alone have viewed it as many times as everyone else in the world combined. My best friend is the same way. We like to get ready to music, and we like to repeat the same few songs over and over. There should probably be music therapy or something, but at least I'm admitting I have a problem, right?!
Monday the song of the day was Master of the House from Les Mis.
Seriously, I listened to it on YouTube about 500 times and walked around singing it continuously. This scene totally stole the show on Sunday. The two playing Thenardier and Madame Thenardier were spot on and some of the best acting I've seen locally!
"Charge 'em for the lice, extra for the mice
Two percent for looking in the mirror twice
Here a little slice, there a little cut
Three percent for sleeping with the window shut
When it comes to fixing prices
There are a lot of tricks I knows
How it all increases, all them bits and pieces
Jesus! It's amazing how it grows!"
Yesterday, it was Lovely Ladies. Yep, the whore song. It's got such a catchy tune, so it's easy to be on repeat in my head all day. I wish I had the movie clip, but it's not on YouTube.
Then today, we played a different tune. I guess I'm over singing Les Mis, (for today, at least) so we switched it up to Royals. You know, the song by Lorde? It's quite fantastic and I've been listening to it for weeks non stop! But today, I discovered the Pentatonix version of the song. PTX has been one of my faves since they were on The Sing-Off a few years ago, and this song definitely lived up to standard. Can we say amazing?! I've hit the replay button too many times to count!
Do you listen to the same song on repeat or is once enough?!
Enjoy these videos, loves and Happy Hump Day!!
XoXo
