I hate my alarm clock.

Let me just take a minute and be completely irrelevant to this post and say, it's HUMP DAYYY!! Whoo Whoo!! I seriously watch the Geico commercial every.single.week. and I never get tired of it. I laugh uncontrollably and then have a Hump Day post war on Facebook with my Pastor. It's quite awesome. If you don't like the Hump Day commercial, I don't think we could be friends. Unless you're like my sister and don't get it. Then, I say "bless your heart" and move along.

Why is it SO hard to wake up in the mornings?! I set my alarm every morning for 5AM and here's what happens. I hit snooze once, usually. Then, I check all my notifications and every form of social media while laying in bed. Then some mornings, I get up and get ready for the day. But, most days I end up continuing to stay comfortable and debate over and over with myself how long I have until I actually have to get myself outta the bed!

I told myself that starting this week, I was going to get my tail out of bed with enough time to do my makeup every day before leaving the house. Have I been successful? You better believe I haven't! This morning, I didn't even get out of the bed until 6am. (I leave between 6:30/45) I can barely squeeze a shower and fixing my hair in 30 minutes! Hair this amazing ridiculous takes time!

I saw this on Pinterest this morning and had to pin it! So much truth! If you wake up looking good, I hate you. Just like everyone else hates you. Totally not normal to roll out of bed and walk out of the house!
Me? I am the furthest thing from a morning person anyone could possibly be! I don't talk. If I haven't had a shower or caffeine, don't bother speaking to me. I will look at you in disgust and continue to keep quiet. The worst is when people want to play 50 questions and need detailed responses while you're busy getting ready for the day and trying to stay awake. I want to punch those people in the face. With a pillow. And tell them to go back to bed. It doesn't matter what time I go to bed or what time I wake up, either. If I go to bed at 10pm, or if I don't get up until 10am, I'm still tired and don't want to get up! It's a problem!

One of my favorite actresses said it best:
"In an ideal world, no one would talk before 10am. People would just hug, because waking up is really hard." - Zooey Deshanel
See, that would be perfect. Just hugs until a decent hour to talk has arrived. Can we put that in the Bill of Rights or something?!

Are you a morning person or do you hate your alarm clock, too?

Happy Hump Day!!
XoXo
