I've been pretty absent lately, sorry 'bout it. I haven't had motivation to do anything at all, especially blog.
I decided I needed to do a little updating around here. I was tired of looking at the old layout. I was craving something happy! I thought about getting a custom design, then I decided against spending that kind of money when I can't seem to even blog once a week. I'm not sure if I'm fully satisfied with it yet, but I'm working on it. What do you think?
There's been nothing but rain here for ages and it's way past annoying. My hair and my shoes can't take it anymore! Curly hair with enormous amounts of frizz and this rainy season do NOT mix. I'm hoping there is an end in sight soon.
I've become addicted to Netflix. I find a new show every few weeks or so to watch. Currently, I'm obsessed with Gossip Girl. I never watched when it first came on TV, despite the constant nagging of a few friends, but now I'm hooked! I even have dreams about the stupid show!
I tried to start Downton Abbey, but after I made it through 2 episodes Netflix took it down!! Not happy!
I'm in love with the song Blurred Lines. It's got to be one of the best songs out right now. If Robin Thicke and T.I. can't put you in a good mood, nothing will! I constantly find myself blaring the volume, rolling down the windows (when it's not raining, of course) and singing as loud as possible.
I went to visit my friend Hilary a few weekends ago in the lovely Franklin Springs. Per usual, zero amount of pictures were taken. But, we did have a great weekend full of watching Netflix and Safe Haven, talking and catching up until 2am, having lunch with my old roommate Mary after church, and just hanging out together. It felt like we were both back in college again. I love that girl so much, and I'm so thankful for her. She's one of the ones who tried to pry me out of bed at 8am to make my go to my Bible class. ha! Neither one of us remember how we became friends, but I sure am glad we did. Her friendship completely changed my second semester of college and I wouldn't trade that, or her for the world!
The 4th of July was fun! I spent the day with the family and a few friends. V, Ad, Alicia, Alabama, Pate and I all went to see Monsters U. It was cute and so much fun to hang out with them for the day! Once we got back home, we all had bbq at V's. Perfect 4th of July food!
That night, I went to hang out with my dear friends J and Sasha. They had dinner at Chili's then we went to see White House Down. 2 movies in one day? Personal record, my friends. It was good as well, since Mr. Channing Tatum was a main character.
Well, I guess I've put you all to sleep by now. I just wanted to catch you up on the unadventurous life of AK.
I'll try to be back sooner than later.
XOXO,
AK
