Weekend Recap

Good Tuesday morning!  

How was your weekend? Entirely too short like mine?! Other than that, mine was awesome! 

Friday night, David Phelps came to our church and did a concert! Phenomenal is the best word I can use to describe his voice!! And, he's hilarious too!! I helped work the ticket counter and checked tickets at the door. It was definitely a fun night!

Saturday, bright and early, we left to head to Savannah for a mini vacay! 

We got there...finally...and headed straight to the beach!

It was fun,  but of course Alabama was scared of the water, like I was scared of the seagulls,  so she cried and whined a lot. Finally, Virginia asked Adam to take the kids and ride around for 30 minutes and then come back and get us. That was the best 30 minutes ever!

We went back to the hotel, the kids took naps, and we got ready to hit up River Street. We meet my cousin, Jeff,  and his fiancé, Brooke, for dinner at Fiddler's Crab House. While the food was good, {I had shrimp and grits} the service was terrible!! Plus, we had to wait for what seemed like for ever!! Anyway, I wouldn't recommend it, at least not that one! ha! 

Sunday, we got everything packed up and took another walk down River Street. We took Alabama to the candy shop, and that was fun. We got gelato and warm pralines...and pralines are my favorite!! 

Then, we went to the mall and met up with everyone, including Jeff and Brooke again, for lunch at Texas Roadhouse! Loved it! After lunch, VA, Adam, the kids, and I went to the Bass Pro Shop!! 

Adam found a recliner to add to his wishlist, of course his wife was not having that! ha! 

We went in a few more stores, and then loaded up to head home! 

It was definitely a short trip, but it was lots of fun!
