Lately.

Blog?! I have one of those?!

 Oh my! I  have neglected this precious little blog of mine for entirely too long. See, my struggle is pictures. Who wants to come to a blog and just read? I want to see some pictures of your weekend, and I know that's what all of you want as well! I had planned to post all about my sister's baby shower, which was eons ago it feels like, but I was waiting to get pictures from my sister's camera. So now, 3 weeks later, I am finally posting about the shower and everything else that has gone on during this extended period of time that I have been away. You may want to grab a cup of coffee and a blanket before reading this, it might get lengthy!!

The shower went great! VA is of course the most crafty sister, so she came to help us decorate the church that morning.

I picked up the cake from one of the best cake makers I know, and it was beautiful and delicious, as usual!!

Since the baby's room is cowboy/western theme, we decided to do that for the shower as well. All of the food/ decorations were western things like chips and salsa, buffalo chicken dip, meatballs, bandanna, burlap, and so on.

The present "table" was a bale of hay, and I thought it turned out so cute! So many people were able to come, and I was so thankful for that!

 She got tons of good presents, including my favorite present --this bib from his Aunt Audra Kate! ;) 

 I can't wait to take him out in public wearing it!

I think the shower was a success and I think VA was happy with it, which is all that matters anyway!!

Oh, they also picked out a name for the little guy. Usry Pate! Usry is my Mama's maiden name, and we had a cousin named Pate. They are planning to call him Pate. Speaking of my nephew, he is scheduled to arrive next Monday morning!! Less than a week away!! :)

If you follow me on Twitter or are my  friend on facebook, then you probably already know, but if you do not, let me take a quick minute to fill you in. At the end of September I quit my job. I had been working at C&C Automotive for about 2 years or so all together, {left and came back once} so it was difficult to leave. {My BIL works there, and most of those guys feel like my "cousins" or something!}  I knew it was something I had to do, though. VA was my Daddy's "personal assistant", but with baby number 2 about to arrive she wouldn't be able to continue working for him. I've almost been working an entire month with my Daddy, which sounds crazy, and I'm starting to get the hang of it. It's a LOT of driving, which I thought I liked driving until this past week-ha, but it isn't too bad! At least I have a job, right?! Hopefully, I'll be able to play with that sweet little nephew of mine a lot more once he arrives!

This past weekend, I went with Mama, Daddy and Alicia to Atlanta to the BEP conference. {basically, the blind vendors conference} I'm telling you, if you ever get the chance to sit in a room full of blind folks, you definitely should! It's hilarious to say the least! Oh, and don't let them break it down on the dance floor. They don't realize there are some of us who can see! ha!! I laughed all.weekend.long.!! Seriously, I was in the floor, or crying from laughing so hard 90% of the time! {thanks to my dear friends Nicki and April! April screamed and ran when she saw me walk in the hotel! ha!} It was lots of fun, besides the horrible food we had. Thank the Lord for ranch and hot sauce!!

The weather here in the big GA has been absolutely wonderful the past two days!! It was chilly, but it felt so good after that hot summer!! I hope that all of you are having wonderful weather as well!! I sure hope that next time I won't keep you waiting to hear all the ramblings of what goes on in my life as long. Next week, I'll be spending lots of time with Alabama , at the hospital, and loving on the new baby, but hopefully I will find a little time to at least post some pictures of Usry Pate!!! :)
