scramble!

Let's start with the fact that I'm a terrible blogger AND sister! Two Saturday's ago was my oldest sister's birthday, and I failed to blog {besides my favorite link-up} last week so it was never mentioned!

Well, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, VA!

{better late than never right?!}

We celebrated her birthday at home with family, lasagna, the best cake we've had a in while,  and catchphrase! It was indeed a good night!

I also forgot to blog about the bacon I burnt that morning. Not did I just burn it, I caught that sucker on fire. Needless to say, we ended up at Waffle House for VA's "birthday breakfast"! :)

Ok, now we can speed things up a bit and talk about this past weekend.

Friday night was the beginning of high school football for my hometown! The THS Dogs showed up and showed out, winning their first game of the season 53-6!!

Sadly, I wasn't able to go to the game, but I had a fun night with some girls from church having "girls night"!

Saturday, I had planned my day out, and did absolutely nothing that I had planned! Instead of cleaning out my closet and addressing baby shower invites, I went to work with my daddy, got a new feather--red and black for since it's football season, and then went with VA and Ad to take AL to see Winnie the Pooh! Even now I still love that silly, old bear! Of course, Eeyore is my favorite! Always has been. I'm pretty sure I had about 15 stuffed Eeyores one time. Which was probably about the same time my email address was eeyore1289. oh yeah, it was baad.

That night, we had a Southern Gospel "sang" at our church! Karen Peck & New River came, and they did a great job!

{Don't judge me. I know I act like i'm 50 years old! ha!}

I'm such a sucker, or groupie as VA likes to call me, for some good ole Southern Gospel!! {mind you, I did say good!}

Sunday was church of course, and I was in Kid's Alive! We had such a great morning!! I'm so thankful to be apart of that wonderful ministry!

I left right after church and headed to Franklin Springs for David's surprise birthday party! After I left there, I went to Athens to have supper with Katie and Emily! We had some Red Lobster, then watched some t.v. at Katie's house! Love those girls and I can't wait for Jess to be back in December so we can all four spend some quality time together!!

Well that was my weekend...what did you do?!
