late weekend recap.

I feel like it's been a while. How you doing?

I've been so busy this week at work, I haven't had a lick of time to blog about my weekend. Not that it was actually that interesting or anything, but someone might be interested in my boring times too! ha!

Friday night, I went to a Premier Jewelry party with VA. I bought an entirely too expensive zebra ring, but I HAD to have it, so I did it! I can't wait for it to come in! After the party, we met Adam and Alabama for supper at Red Robin {yum!}. VA and I split the whiskey river bbq burger and it was so.good. {definitely not on my diet, but it was a weekend of a "diet sabbatical." ha!}

Saturday, I got up early and with VA and Bama to a yard sale in Augusta. The "online yard sale" group that VA  stalks  follows, had a huge yard sale at a church that morning. She got a ton of Gymboree clothes, and PJ sets for Alabama and a few Ralph Lauren shirts, and a sweater for the new baby all for $16.50!!! She's the bargain queen, i'm telling ya! While we were there, the church that was hosting the yard sale had a small tent in the middle and some of the youth were there painting faces. Alabama wanted to get her hand painted, but I had to sit with her. While the sweet girl was attempting to paint a rainbow with dried up paint, Alabama begins talking to her. {SN: you must first know that when Adam puts Alabama in the car seat, he somehow pinches her leg sometimes. she started saying "Daddy gives me boo-boos sometimes" when this happens, or if you happen to be buckling her up.} Well, Miss Priss is chatting away to the girl, and says to her "My daddy gives me boo-boos." The girl looks at me all confused, and asked me what she said. So I told AL, no he doesn't silly, while I'm trying to laugh it off without having to explain it to this girl. Then she proceeds to say, "Yes, Kah Kah, sometimes he does." So I tried telling the story while laughing to the girl, so she wouldn't think it was serious, but she apparently didn't think it was very funny.
After that, we found VA and left to head to Cracker Barrel for some breakfast. While we were sippin' on diet cokes and waiting on our crazy waitress to come and take our order, I told VA the hand painting story. Needless to say, she had diet coke coming out of her nose before it was over. I was pretty positive that the girl was going to tell her pastor or something. Good thing we didn't have to leave a name.

That afternoon, we swam for a bit then Alicia and I went to visit Granny for a while. Sunday was church, and 5th Sunday so we didn't have Kid's Alive. This was the first time I'd been to church in a couple weeks, so I was definitely glad to be back!!

I'm working on our "back to school" customer letters at work all week. I'm only on H. I feel like these things are never going to end. I'm hoping to get through at least K printed tomorrow. Busy, busy, busy!!

By the way, have you seen Neely's fantastic giveaway yet?! She's giving away a year subscription to Birchbox! I'm not saying to go enter because I totes want to win, but I'm saying you should go read her blog if you don't!!! :)

Enjoy your week lovelies!!
