Shrimp, Beaches, and Pralines!

Hello dolls!! I sure hope everyone had a fantastic long weekend, and a lovely 4th of July!!

I got to enjoy my long weekend by going with Sasha to visit my cousins, Jeff and Brooke in Savannah!

{well near Savannah.}

We left Friday night, and headed straight there. {except for our quick stop for some Zaxby's} 

After getting in late, and staying up for a while hanging out, we slept in before getting up and getting ready to go to Savannah for the day! We finally found a place to park near River Street and hit up Tubby's for some lunch. I got the Fried Green Tomato BLT and it was really good. Then we walked around for a while, went in a few shops, and got some pralines! {my favorite!}

We stayed in Savannah all.day. and found a cute little park to visit for a little while. Then we decided to head over to Uncle Bubba's Oyster House for some good seafood for supper! 

{you can't go to SAV and not have seafood!}I got shrimp and it was awesome! I also bought this cute Paula Deen cup! Love! 

Sunday, we got up and loaded the car to head to the beach! We made a quick Publix and Starbucks run, and hit the sand!  It was perfect beach weather. It wasn't dreadful hot, and there was a slight breeze most of the time! The bad part was the awful water. It was so dirty and it was like walking in piles of cow manure. {gross i know, but seriously it was THAT bad.} We brought sandwiches to make, books to read, games to play and chairs to lay out on. It was lots of fun!! {except for the awful birds. we'll leave it at that.}

That night, we came home and got clean from the nasty water, and Brooke and Jeff made some great spaghetti for supper! We all cleaned up the kitchen, then watched Anchorman before going to bed early for once. {well, midnight. ha} 

Monday, we got up and headed to St. Simon's. We had lunch at Iguana's {which was "voted best shrimp on the Island 5 years running" } so you can guess what I had ...again. It was some good shrimp! Then, we found out that they have a FREE soft serve ice cream bar! We were excited! {I made a huge mess because I put hot peanut butter syrup on mine, and it immediately started to melt the ice cream!} Then we walked around to look at a few shops until we were just walking sweat. {at least that's what we all felt like! ha!} My sister asked me to bring her home fudge, so we stopped by the very air conditioned candy store before we left! I got some watermelon fudge for myself as well! {sounds gross, but it's really actually good!} 

After we ran by the Piggly Wiggly to get some Pig shirts, {it happens every year. tradition now. ha.}Sasha and I got packed up and hit the road!! We only took one wrong turn on the way home, {my fault. ha!} but it took us no time to get right back on track and make it home.

{i liked this one because i don't already have one like this, and it's not a real common one.}
