"we're smiling but we're close to tears..."

I can't do a WILW today. I just can't find anything special that I'm loving.

My best friend, Jessica left this morning to go to Guatemala for a year!! I'll ask that you would keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She has an interview for a teaching job tomorrow. I know that God has big plans for her and for the lives that she will be able to invest in!! Hopefully, she'll be able to come home in December for Christmas! She'll leave again in January and then won't be back until October. {boo.}

She's excited/nervous but I know that this is exactly where she wants to be!! The "Jesus side" of me, is so excited for her and knows that this is such a great opportunity for her. However, the "selfish side" of me doesn't want her to leave the country for a year!!!!

She's so brave! She doesn't actually know that she's going to get that teaching job, yet she's packing her entrie life up and traveling across the country to live just because she knows that's where God is calling her. Amazing example of faith! I'm so proud of her and I know that God is going to have favor over her!

Her sisters have already claimed me as their "Jessica 2.0" so I'll still be going to visit them and try and keep them in line! {that's going to be such a hard job!! ha!} They are trying to get me to move to Athens, but it's much more fun to go visit every few weekends!
