Snow Day 2011

I can't believe we've had snow that stuck TWICE in less than a month! That's not something that happens very often here in the big GA.

Alabama loved the snow! 

I was really hoping for it just to be snow and not ice mixed in since we planned the "Morris Snow Fest '11", as a friend from church called it. We had planned a day of "hoodin'" behind the tractor and opening up the music room for some pickin' and singin' for everyone who wanted to come out. I was excited that it was snowing last night, but was not excited this morning for the ice on the roads!!!

We got up this morning and did a happy dance that C&C was closed for the day! Adam and I were not looking forward to trying to brave that ice!!
We ate some breakfast and got dressed in some WARM clothes. I put leggings on under my jeans, two pairs of socks, and long sleeves with my coat, plus gloves!!
I was the last one outside to play in the beautiful snow because I had to apply a dab of mascara in case any pictures were taken, so they all got snow balls and attacked me!! Even got Alabama in on it! ha!

We got out the hood and tractor after lunch, but it was so icy, cold and rainy that only VA and I rode. It was super slippery, and I was scared for my life a few times! ha! But of course it was SO much fun! :)

Tonight, I made some cupcakes, and then VA helped me make some homemade icing for them! They turned out so good!! *BE PROUD!* ha! We even had snowmen and snowflakes to put on top! So appropriate!

It was so much fun being able to hang out with the family all day, and NOT have to work! Wish I could say the same about tomorrow, but I think I'd go crazy if I couldn't leave again! ha! ;)
