...but to us, it was hysterical.
Tonight, we went to eat at Logan's with some of the vendors that Daddy "works" with, and since we were already in Augusta, VA needed groceries and had some coupons for Kroger she wanted to put to use. I was the "lucky" candidate that was chosen to take her. *happy happy joy joy*
She brought an entire notebook filled with coupons...and we sat in the car for 25 minutes or more, waiting on her to cut them out, all while she dramatically pretended to sing to Christmas songs. We FINALLY got out of the car, and got a buggy. (nope, it's not a cart. i'm from GA..it's a buggy.)
I know how shopping with my dear sister can be, so I was expecting a long time. However, staring at the same cans of soup for 15 minutes or the same boxes of beef broth hoping that the chicken kind will appear is a little over the top! I finally get her moving down a different aisle, only to stop and stare at canned fruit for longer increments of time. (BTW, the mandarin oranges are NOT part of the Mega Ten sale...)
Kroger currently has a "mega 10" deal going on, where you get 10 items and get $5 back or something like that. Well, she went over the 10 items, so she was now on the hunt for 20! So here we go, trotting back to the other side of the store we just came from, when VA sees a manager and decides to ask about her non-existent chicken broth in a box!
VA: "Excuse me, I'm doing the mega 10 and I'm looking for another item..the Swanson chicken broth in a box, do y'all have any?"
Manager: *while laughing..alone* "You need another item? I can go find something I need to throw in there for ya!"
VA: "Yeah, I'm looking for the chicken broth...all I see is the beef."
Manager: "Well we might have some..go check over there around aisle 2....I think I saw some there."
VA: *as she starts to walk away..pushing the buggy.." Ok, I'll go look again..."
...UHOH....
There might have been a display with pumpkin carving kits scattered all over the floor about this time. And it might have been VA's fault for RUNNING INTO THE DISPLAY WITH HER BUGGY!!!
I had to walk down a different aisle and just laugh. Finally the ditsy manager realized what happened and started helping her pick it up!
It fell in slow-mo...like she tried to reach out and grab it..but to her dismay "the buggy was in the way!" ha! I laughed and laughed!!! I can't take my sister anywhere!!! LOL!
BTW--Kroger was rude..all employees...and were NOT helpful...and they did NOT have chicken broth!!!!!
Added by V: That's why we'll be going to Publix next time :-) ....and it was Audra's fault that she made me go to the one on Wrightsboro road!
