Well, this weekend flew by as most of them do!!! I feel like we need an extra day in the "weekends" to get some rest!! I was going, going, going all weekend...but I love it, so I'm not complaining! :)
On Friday night, I got off work, met Nick to get all the party decorations for Saturday, then Adam and I went to Thomson to see the A-team for some brother/sister time. Mama, Daddy, Alicia, Virginia, and Alabama had gone to Atlanta on Friday, so it was just the two of us home. Perfect time to go to the movies since Miss Bama Grace usually doesn't let that happen! I enjoyed it, but Adam didn't like it that much! *typical!* We even rode on the new bypass!!! It's super short!! It feels like it takes no time to make it from Winn Dixie to White Oak now! insane!
Saturday, I got ready, and went to get Taylor, then to eat at Cracker Barrel with the "girls" for her birthday! After that, I went to walmart with Megan to get some things for Sarah's "care basket", and to get more stuff for the party! I hung out with Tay and Sasha for a bit, then went to get Daddy's Father's Day present!
After all that, it was time to meet Nick at the park to set up for Taylor's birthday partay! We had hoped that we would be able to use the big shelter for the party, but it was already taken with somebody's family reunion! We settled for a small gazebo. It worked out though, because half the people we thought were coming, didn't show up! lol! After fighting with the decorations, the helium tank and balloons, and "doing what we could, with what we had", we finally got the place looking ready for a party!!! Shea brought the cake by, and Nick got pizza, and we waited for everyone to arrive! It was SOOO hot on saturday, and even though there was a SMALL breeze, it was still scorching!!!!Sadly, we found out that GA heat, and cakes do NOT mix. Before Tay even got to see it, the think started falling apart! We got pictures before though!! *Good thinking, Nick!!* I think she had a great time...atleast I hope she did! ha!!! :)
After that was over, I headed to Ashley's to see everyone! Rob and Britt are down this week, and I didn't get to see them last time they were here, so I had to go! They had a party for Jessie's birthday and for Bitt's graduation! I even got to listen to the RENT soundtrack with Britt when we rode to Dearing. I love having the windows down, the music turned up, and us singing at the top of our lungs to some of our favorite songs! :)
Sunday was of course Father's Day, and so after church, I met Mama, Daddy, and Alicia with Alabama for lunch at Ryans. I hate that place, but since my daddy loves it, and it was Father's day, I had no choice..ha! We all got him a new tape recorder, because he used one of the rest area, and his is broken! He said he used it today and it worked well!! :D I'm so glad!
After that, I went to see my dear friend Miss Sarah Stokely with Megan. Sarah had surgery and so we took her a basket with some of her favorite things in it, like chocolate milk, coffee ice cream, candy, movies, and soup!! :) We sat and talked for a while, it was so wonderful to catch up! I miss the days at emmanuel when she was right down the hall! I love that she lives here in Augusta, though! She is one of my favorites by far!!
I had a great weekend, even though it was busy! I guess it caught up with me today, though cause I kept falling asleep at work!! I sure could have used a nap!!!
My youth group/college group at church are in New Orleans this week on a missions trip! Please pray that God uses them mightily! Also pray that He keeps them safe! I cannot wait for them to get back home so I can hear all about it!!!
