grandma is slacking.

I''ve been such a slacker lately!!! I'll have something to blog about then, I'll forget it later and not blog. Oh the minds of a "grandma" ha! I've been a gym slacker lately, too! We didn't go Thursday, Friday, or today!!! maybe I can squeeze it in after work!!! Lord knows we need to!! (BTW..this is my 50th, blog! wow, time flies!)

This weekend was fun! I went with Sasha to see The Last Song, and I cried and cried. It was good, but sad!! Takes some tissues with you, if you go see it!!! (speaking of tissues, I still can't figure out why a gas station can sell tampons and cold meds, but not a pack of Kleenex. it's ridiculous!) We ate supper at Mellow Mushroom, and that's the first time I've been to the one in Evans. SOO much nicer than downtown! lol
Don't judge us, but there was a family sitting behind us, and apparently the young girl was deaf. Everyone was signing back and forth at the same time, and it looked like a big game of charades! haha. I know it's awful, and we felt bad for laughing, but I couldn't stop staring! I'm so very thankful for having Miss Sasha Danielle as a friend. I don't have many friends to hang out with here in Augusta/Thomson.

On Saturday, I had a busy day! I had the baby that morning, then had to take daddy to Grovetown to look at a piano (which i'm pretty sure made my ears bleed it was so out of tune!), then we went to Dearing to the Mayfest. My mom's church has a booth there every year, so my sister, Alicia, and I went there for a little while! "Momma Frances", the pastor's wife, makes the BEST lemonade ever! She hand makes every glass. So I had lemonade and boiled peanuts for lunch... nutritious, i know! ha! She also made some haystacks! They are by far my favvorriteee thing ever! I'm pretty sure I bought like 6 bags! Not all for me! lol!
(incase you don't know what a haystack is, it's a candy that consist of peanuts and chinese noodles all covered with butterscotch and made into this little "stack" that's supposed to look like a haystack..hints the name!) I also got some homemade peach ice cream from my Aunt's church booth! It was yummy!
After we left the Mayfest, we went to downtown Augusta to the Time to Care fair. My dad is a part of the GCB, Georgia Council of the the Blind, and they had a booth out there. They had a couple of games for the kids, and then had a lady writing the kids names in braille! We didn't get there til late in the afternoon, so I was pretty tired by the time we got there!
After we left, we came home, only to get ready to go eat for my grandmother's husband's birthday. (he is NOT my grandfather, so i do not call him that. don't judge.)
We went to the WORST place in the world to eat.....if you guessed Ryan's, you are correct. (If you every spend any length of time with me, or go eat places with me, you will come to learn there are 4 places on my i don't want to eat list...Ryan's, Taco Bell, Burger King, and Waffle House. i hate them all with a passion!) We had an okay time! I sat at the other end of the table and talked with Aunt Kathie and Uncle Bo the whole time.

Yesterday, was church, It was so good to see my cousin Dean up singing on the praise team Sunday morning. He's been real sick for a while, and hasn't been to church much lately. He also sang the solo with the choir song!   We had lunch with the parents at Ivery's then had supper with the youth and college kids at Cracker Barrel. Fun day for the most part. I'm sure there was so much more I had in mind to write, but I can't remember It all. The college girls are having a movie night tonight at our sunday school teacher's house. It's going to be a late night, i'm afraid, but I hope it will be fun!!!

What did you do this weekend?!
~Happy Monday!
