Since it's Memorial day and I'm stuck at work and there is nothing at all going on, I figured what a great time to catch up on my way behind blogging!!! I'll try and make a few post so it's not so much to read at once!
Last weekend, (not the one that ended yesterday, but the one before that. yeah, i know...i'm behind.) I got to visit with an old friend from middle school. Whitney, now lives in Alabama with her little boy Aiden and her hubby, Corey, but they came to her grandmothers to visit last week! I always try and make some time to see them when they are here, so i went over to "Gomer's" (that's her grandma, and we've been really close so that's what i've always called her) on Saturday afternoon for a short visit! I didn't stay too long because Aiden was fussy and needed a nap! He's gotten soo big! He's only a month older than Alabama, so he's 16 months, and wears 2 and 3 T clothes, and size 6 diapers!!!! (Alabama is in a size 18-24 mths and a size 4 diaper.) He's so tall as well! I love being able to watch him grow up, even though he's in Alabama!! We always have a great time catching up on each other's lives, as well!!
That night, I went with my mom to her church. They were having a fish fry. (i wasn't in the mood for fish, so i had a corn dog! i felt like i was at the fair! ha!) Afterwards, I watch the "drama team" practice, and helped the girl who took my spot! I miss the days of "dancing for Jesus". I truely loved it. It was my passion. That's probably the one and only thing that I miss about Dearing. (don't get me wrong, I'm still very glad i changed churches, but i do miss it.) It felt really good to be able to get up there and just practice with them for a bit. They did their dances to Lord, You're Holy and Now Behold the Lamb. those were always two of my favorites!! They did them last night at their "5th Sunday Sing and did an amazing job! I was so proud of them!
Then on Sunday, VA, Adam, Alabama, and I took the boat out on the lake!! It was the first time so far this year! We love going out on the boat! Adam and I love riding fast on the boat, and VA loves to find a spot to sit and read a magazine! ha!! This was Alabama's first lake trip, so we weren't sure how she would do. She wasn't quite as fond of it as we are. She hated the water!! She cried and cried! I guess they will have to wait until she's older to take her back.
