Friday night after I got off work, Johnnie came by the house on her way from Atlanta to her parents in Lincolnton. We hardly ever see each other since she moved to Atlanta so it was great to spend some time with her!!! We had supper, and just kind of chilled out for a while. She helped me clean up the kitchen, and we watched some youtube videos until about 2am. That's when Aunt Betty, Uncle Jerry, and Alicia came dragging in.
Alicia had been in Atlanta the past week for traning for her job. She's in traning to do the Vending program like my daddy. Hopefully, instead of rest area machines like him, she will have a snack bar or something like it. Aunt Betty and Uncle Jerry live in Alabama...Headland Alabama to be exact. It's a REALLY small town, right outside of Dothan. They came up for the weekend because my mom's pastor James and his wife Frances, renewed their wedding vows for their 25th wedding anniversary! Their church is a rather small building so it was packed!!! They had to set out chairs in the back! I took a few pictures but i was so far back they didn't turn out too well. I'll post them soon! After the ceremony, Aunt Betty, Alicia, Jenna, and I went to an elementary school in town and played on the playground! It was a lot of fun!! We swung, slid on the slide, climbed on the jungle gym, and tried doing the see-saw, just like a bunch of big kids!! Atleast we had Jenna for "an excuse"!! I love to swing! It's absolutely my favorite thing to do in the spring/summer afternoons!!! :)
On Sunday, we all went to different churches this time. Normally, everyone follows Aunt Betty and Uncle Jerry, but I had Kid's Alive (more on that in a moment.) so I went to Grace, and they went to Bath with Aunt Kathie and Bo. Gerald Crabb was there in revival, so they wanted to hear him. I went last night and he was great!!! We got to eat dinner with him after the service, as well!! Lots of fun stories, and many laughs!
Kid's Alive went...uh, decent this week. The projector was broken, so we had no backup lines on the wall! I had a minior, no..i'll admit it, major freak out...several times!! The first skit went well! I remembered my lines and everything! The second one, not so much! Brian had to remind me of a line, once, and then i figured it was my turn to speak since no one else was talking..i had to improv, which i don't do!!! It scares me, i think! But i went on making my lemonade and tried making the best of it!! I had two people tell me that we (Kerri, Brian, and I) did a good job on sunday night, so even though i messed up, the kids didn't know it! That makes it soo much easier!!!!
